The UPS Store® concept was introduced in 1980 as Mail Boxes Etc. ® - a convenient alternative to the post office. Throughout its evolution, it has continued to define and lead the business services category it created. In 2001, UPS® acquired Mail Boxes Etc., Inc.

Instead of having a package delivered to your home or business address, you can select a Pickup Location. You can choose to deliver eligible packages to Pickup Locations such as Amazon Lockers, Amazon Counter, or UPS AccessPoints™ Locations.

Can you hold my packages while I'm away? Yes, if you're a UPS My Choice member, The UPS Store and other UPS Access Point locations can hold your package for up to seven calendar days at no additional charge. Customer centers can hold your package for up to five business days.

Drop your items at The UPS Store

You can also take your returns to The UPS Store. When selecting the method for returning your Amazon purchase, choose The UPS Store Dropoff. You don't need to have your items boxed or labeled. Instead, The UPS Store will pack, label and ship your return for free.

UPS will pick up all packages with a single pickup request; you'll not be charged additional pickup fees per package.

If you want to pick up your package at a UPS Customer Center, your request must be received by 7 p.m. If you're unavailable when UPS attempts delivery at your address, UPS may deliver your package to a UPS Access Point^® location near your home, where your package will be held for you to pick up for 7 calendar days.

“Left at met customer” is a status update provided by UPS to indicate that the package has been delivered to the recipient in person. The term “met customer” refers to the fact that the UPS driver physically handed over the package to the customer, rather than leaving it at the doorstep or with a neighbor.
